Aujourd’hui j’ai eu la surprise en allant boire mon café dehors (bon d’accord fumer ma clope ..), de voir Astro et Kanos en train de cellophaner un arbre dans la cour de mon travail. Créateurs de Cellograff, un concept sur lequel vous en saurez plus en suivant ce lien (http://www.cellograff.com/), ils exécutaient ici une commande pour D8 dont le studio est tout proche. Les deux artistes sont cool et abordables, et il y aura sans doute du neuf sur leur travail dans les prochaines pages du blog ce mois-ci, à suivre !

Today I was surprised while going out to drink my coffee (okay smoke my cigarette ..), to see Astro and Kanos currently wrapping a tree with cellophane in the courtyard of my work. Creators of Cellograff, a concept on which you can learn more by following this link (http://www.cellograff.com/), they did a command for D8 whose studio is nearby. Both artists are cool and approachable, and there will probably be some more of their work in the pages of the blog this month, stay tuned !

Art2Rue – CLXXVI – Le Bassin aux Nymphéas.

Il fallait que ça arrive, après en avoir photographié il fallait que je m’y essaye aussi.

C’est en hommage à Claude Monet que ce premier pochoir est – librement – inspiré du tableau « Le bassin aux Nymphéas, Harmonie verte », dont la reproduction trône au-dessus de mon lit. Monet est sans doute ma plus grande référence et inspiration en art, influençant jusqu’à ma pratique de la photo en me donnant une ligne directrice : restituer l’impression, l’émotion visuelle au mieux.

Volontairement simple et monochrome, il sera surement décliné en couleurs prochainement mais la prudence était de mise pour un premier essai sur un mur qui ne m’appartient pas !

It had to happen, after taking photos I had to try it too.

It is as a tribute to Claude Monet that this first stencil is – freely – inspired by the painting « Le Bassin aux Nympheas , Green Harmony » , whose reproduction stands above my bed. Monet is probably my biggest inspiration and reference in art, influencing even my potography practice by giving me a guideline : return the feeling, the visual emotion at best.

Deliberately simple and monochrome, there will surely be a color version soon but caution was requested for a first run on a wall that does not belong to me !
